Future Kindergarten Information
*****Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open.*****
****Please make sure to select the correct year when registering.****
Step #1: Complete Online Registration
Any child who has a legal settlement in Westfield Washington Schools and is five years of age on or before August 1st of this year may enroll in the kindergarten program.
*Documents needed ~~ Certificate, Proof of residency, Driver's license, and current/updated immunization records~~ These items will need to be scanned during registration. If you are missing a document or have trouble you may submit the registration and bring the documents to Oak Trace and we will make a copy.
Step #2: Sign up for a Kindergarten Screening
Kindergarten screenings will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, and Thursday, May 2nd.
Please sign up for a time for one of our kindergarten teachers to do a basic screening with your child. This will take approximately 20 minutes and the purpose is to get a sense of your child's readiness for kindergarten.

Step: #3 Fill out the "Getting to Know Your Child" form
Please Click HERE to fill out the Getting to Know Your Child form. This will give the teachers some basic background/developmental information about your child.
Step #4: RSVP for Little Acorn Night- March 20th, 2024 at 6:00 PM
Parents of the Oak Trace community and their incoming kindergarten student(s) are invited to attend this fun and informational evening!

You may Click Here to view an informative presentation that holds all of the information you need for the upcoming year. Please print a copy and walk through a typical day with your child, showing him/her what to expect in kindergarten.
Step #5- Purchase Supplies
Option #A: Purchase prepackaged supply kits through the Oak Trace PTO. If you order a kit, your child's supplies will be delivered directly to his/her classroom before the start of school.
Option #B: If you prefer to shop on your own, you can download a copy of the supply list.

Step #6- Sign up for Summer Childcare and/or Before and After Care
Summer Childcare and Summer Camp Program--Enrollment will open on March 15th, 2024.
Before and After Care Program for the 2024-2025 School Year -Enrollment will Open May 1st, 2024 at 6 AM

Step #7: Fill Out Safe Visitor Background Check
(Please be sure to have this done before the start of school. The process can take 4-5 days after you have submitted your information online)
A Safe Visitor background check will be required for anyone who visits our schools.
