Principal's Message
The staff at Oak Trace Elementary would like to welcome you to another great school year. We are excited about this year and have many exciting opportunities planned for our students.
Oak Trace has certainly changed over the years right alongside the city of Westfield. We maintain a focus on connecting the Indiana academic standards in a meaningful way for students and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs. In 2015 Oak Trace was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Oak Trace has been designated a C.L.A.S.S. (Connecting Learning Assures Successful Students) School since opening in 2000. C.L.A.S.S. schools provide students with an inviting learning environment and enhanced curriculum that makes connections to the real world.
I have been the principal at Oak Trace since 2021. Prior to this, I was the assistant principal and taught third grade here. I’ve also taught in New Palestine and Fort Wayne. My husband and I have lived in Westfield since 2000. We absolutely love this city. Both of our children attended Westfield schools from kindergarten through graduation. Our whole family graduated from Purdue. Boiler Up!
Oak Trace has an incredible staff in place, and we look forward to the start of another great year of learning! We hope you will get involved in our amazing PTO, volunteer in the classroom, or chaperone a field trip.
